Marcia was born in the UK and lived in Devon most of her life until moving to Cyprus on retirement. She developed her art since raising a family. She is a versatile artist, using several mediums and subjects ( figurative, landscape, still life and portraits, abstracts, also stiched textiles and mosaics ) . S

he had a lifelong interest in art so at the age of 50 she did "Access to the Arts" at Dartington Hall, U.K. , followed by a Foundation Course , both of which resulted in distinctions. This led to a City and Guilds "Creative Stitch Course" part 1 and 2 for four years , again passing with distinction. She also taught drawing and painting for ten years , mostly Adult Education.

Her work has sold all over the world from sales at exhibitions and commissions. She has won several competitions, two being "The Telegraph Paint a Pub" which was displayed at The Mall Gallery in London and another at Exeter Hospital , the subject being flowers. Moving to Cyprus opened up yet more opportunities for exhibitions , several at the EnPlo in Paphos Harbour.

She also takes part in the Open Studio event which is held each year. Cyprus has a wealth of subjects and the beauty of the countryside has inspired her to develop more of her oil painting.
