Magic bowl center in Prodromi is now the proud owner of a brand new Darts room. The darts room is equipped with 2 match boards and a practice board all at top standards and specifications.

The room has been set up in order to give the center something else to draw the customers in. With the room comes a new darts team which will take part in leagues locally and across the Paphos District and are currently playing a 10 week league amongst themselves, based on points and the winner will take home a trophy. Current members are: Alex, Steve, Gordon, Tom, Nathan, Theo, Clark, Ted, Kierron, Tracie, Mark, Mack and Oliver.

Many of these members will go on to make up the team. The opening night of the Darts room was held on 29th January and had a great turn out. The Cyprus ranked number 1 Darts player, Mr. Tony Croxford and Mr. Charles Turrall, also a member of the National Team attended the evening and gave us their opinions on the facilitates. Friday the 6th February saw the Bandanas 180 team come to Polis to play the Magic Bowl team and no suprises but the Cyprus Ranked Number 1 won!!! Interview with Cyprus Number 1 darts player.

I was lucky enough to meet with Cyprus ranked number 1 darts player, Mr. Tony Croxford, at the New Darts room in Magic Bowl Center in Prodromi.

Q: How did you get into Darts?

A: I started at around 17 years of age when I tried out for the Middlesex trials. Unfortunately, I didn’t get through but I didn’t let this get me down! I joined a local darts team and won my first local competition just after I turned 18 years old.

Q: How long have you been in Cyprus?

A: About 2 years.

Q: How long have you been Cyprus ranked number 1?

A: Since March 2008, I am very proud of this accomplishment.

Q: What do you think of the Darts room at Magic Bowl?

A: It’s great; it’s laid out nicely, got all the top equipment. There are a few things I have spoken to Alex and Steve about, just little things that need changing but on a whole, it’s fantastic. And the best bit is there is no mobile signal down here!!!!

Q: Do you have any dates set for matches between your own Team and the Magic Bowl team?

A: Yes, 28th February at “Bandana 180” bar in Paphos at 6pm and the 5th April at Magic Bowl center at 4pm. Feel free to come and watch!
